We spent the good part of a year living in the land of the long white cloud for work. The wild, windy, feeling of being apart from everything else, steeped in nature, has stuck with me.
My family lived in Dar es Salaam for a few years during the time I was falling in love with photography. I was so lucky to take a shot at documenting such a rich and dynamic country.
Boiling hot, arid, and a dizzying mix of tradtional and modern, I spent a little time in Dubai going back and forth to Tanzania. Barely scraped the surface...
Spending time with relatives in Germany, living with a family in France, and studying in Florence have made me feel rather at home in Europe. I've jumped at the chance to go everywhere I can, in this case, the Amalfi Coast.
The feeling in some of these magical, alien places is hard to describe. Images help.
